I know how you feel. Due to medical issues I have not ridden my Roadster since July '11. I do go out and look at it often.

It really was a GREAT one. I believe Tefkay had it.

I've been using Amsoil 75W-140 Severe Gear fluid for many years(8) now with very good results. Well worth the extra $$.

This sounds like California.

M1's are considerabley more expensive now, and getting hard to find.
I am very happy with my G17 and G26. Good choice.

I put in Amsoil 20W-50 at 12k. After riding it like I stole it. Many thanks to the late Pat Williams for that info.

Try taking the screen off. You might be surprised at the results.

I got a RAM mount from CycleGadgets.com and affixed it to my handlebar. I used a old inner tube to protect the bar. Has worked well since 2004.
